Our wedding will take place on Saturday, May 28th at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater in Bloomington, IN, located at 114 East Kirkwood Avenue (see the theater on Google Maps). Doors will open at 5 pm, and the ceremony will begin at 5:30.
The reception will also be at the Buskirk-Chumley, shortly after the ceremony. We invite you to enjoy drinks and hearty appetizers, take pictures at our makeshift photo booth, and dance to our hand-picked motown, soul, pop, and hip-hop tunes.
The wedding and reception are both family-friendly, although later in the evening we will probably play some music with lyrics that may not be suitable for young ears.
We will have a wedding photographer, but feel free to bring your cameras! We will create a public online photo album after the wedding for guests to upload any pictures they want to share with us.
Got any questions? Just email us at annasaraceno@gmail.com .
Accommodations
We’ve reserved a block of rooms in the Courtyard Marriott Bloomington, located at 310 South College Avenue. To make reservations:
- Online: Use the form on the left side of our reservation page here (make sure you keep the group code filled in; you don’t have to use the exact same reservation dates that are already entered).
- By phone: Call (812) 335-8000 or (888) 321-2211, and identify yourself as being part of the Saraceno Vanderzee Wedding.
It takes about 5-10 minutes to walk from the Marriott to the Buskirk-Chumley.
UPDATE:
Unfortunately, a lot of the hotels around Bloomington are booked the weekend of the wedding, and the Marriott only has a block of 20 rooms available to the Saraceno-Vanderzee wedding party. While not ideal, there are other hotels/motels with rooms still available. You can go to www.hotels.com to check availability of hotels in Bloomington.
If for some reason there aren’t any hotels available in Bloomington, you might see options in Martinsville and Bedford. Martinsville is about 20 minutes north of Bloomington, and Bedford is about 20 minutes south of Bloomington. Again, not ideal, but they are somewhat viable options.
Registry
Those who have been to our house can attest to the fact that we don’t need more stuff! But what we’d love is to have an awesome honeymoon in Maui, so we’re asking for monetary gifts only. Your contributions will allow us to do awesome things like going on submarine and zip line tours, exploring the volcanoes and forests on Maui, and getting hula lessons (or not).
If you’d like to send money online using your PayPal account or credit/debit card, click the “Honeymoon Fund” link on the left side of this page. If you’d rather mail it, please send it to 1028 E. Maxwell Ln, Bloomington, IN, 47401. There will also be a table for gifts and cards at the wedding.
And of course, your presence is present enough!

looking forward to the sweet day!
